THE KORTE HOME
Model A Reverse
On August 29, 2001 Chad and Jennifer Korte, along
with their Labrador, Bailey, moved into this 1919 Model A Ford Home. The home has
several distinctive features that add to its charm including fan windows, an original
pediment over the front door, original 6-over-1 windows, wooden doors, and original
oak flooring. Note the photograph hanging next to the fireplace of the house being
painted on August 26, 1919. The two-story addition was added prior to 1949 and provides
the space the Korte's needed for their growing family. The home is furnished with
an eclectic mix of family heirlooms and mission style. The Christmas display features
many items Jennifer has collected throughout her childhood.
