FHHD Board of Directors Meeting
Meeting Minutes
April 6, 2001
Opening:
The regular
meeting of the FHHD Board of Directors was called to order at 8:00pm on
Thursday, April 5, 2001 by Dave Tillman.
Present:
Dave Tillman,
Mike Assenmacher, Teresa Klimkiewicz, Cindy Bohn, Carter Brown, Scott Smith
Absent:
Evonne Kakos
Meeting was
called to discuss and decide what should be done with the gazebo. Dave has received phone calls from Dave
Norwood, City of Dearborn. Neighbors
near the Park Street Park have complained about the box containing the gazebo
being an eyesore. Dave Norwood requests
that the FHHD move the box soon. It
was suggested and agreed that the box would be moved to the rear area of the
park (acceptable to the City) on Saturday, April 7 at 1:00pm.
It had been
discussed prior to the board meeting that the gazebo be “retrofit” to the
existing footings in the park. This is
not feasible as the gazebo is 10 ft. in diameter and the footings were sunk at
12 ft. in diameter. Dave Tillman
outlined options – sell it, donate it, erect it elsewhere in the park, or
raffle it off. It was agreed that
donating it or raffling it off are not options due to financial loss the
district would incur. Mike suggested
that the gazebo be erected elsewhere in the park. Teresa agreed and seconded.
It was further discussed and agreed that the gazebo would be offered for
sale at the Spring District Meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 26,
2001. If the FHHD does not received a
“reasonable offer” for the gazebo, then the gazebo would be erected in the park
as previously discussed. Date to be
discussed and announced at a later date.
All present felt that the district should try to recoup some of the
money spent on the gazebo.

The next general meeting will be at 7:30pm on Thursday, April 26, 2001
in the multi-purpose room of the First Baptist Church.
