Results of the Edison Street Sale Thanks to all of you for donating your time or
your baked goods to the Edison Street Sale.
The District raised over $700 through the sale of your baked goods,
FHHD merchandise, and raffle tickets.
Here's the winners of this year's drawings: One night stay at the Downtown Detroit Courtyard
by
Marriott: Ed Roose Free dental bleaching: Margie Maurer Handcrafted purse: Sue Koon English Gardens gift certificate: Rocco Sanfilippo Breadsmith bread (4 loaves): Chris Roehl FHHD coffee mugs were given away at hourly
drawings to friends and neighbors.
Thank you to all who participated, and a special thank you to those
who donated the gifts! Park Street Park Clean Up A round of applause
goes out to those of you who helped out at the Park Street Park clean up on
Wednesday, June 7th. The
crew worked to cut and bundle branches, then piled them up on the curb. The City of Dearborn Sanitation Department
was kind enough to haul it all away for us!
The clean up crew included:
Joe Robar; Mark & Terri Golles; Mia & Mark Stewart; Neziyo,
Elhan, and Iyloy Alo; Ed Roose; Mike McGinty; Mike, Ruth, Scott and Dave
Assenmacher; Dave & Sylvia Tillman; Don Westcott; and Kurt
Klimkiewicz. A "secret
helper" who asked not to be named, but was kind enough to spend his
lunch hour that day cleaning up in the park.

Holiday Home Tour Sunday, December 3rd Well, the results are
in. You've elected to keep the
Holiday Home Tour. NOW WE NEED
YOUR HELP!!!! We need
volunteers to decorate then open their homes (first floor only) for the
tour. We're considering a
"district-wide" tour this year and we must have a minimum of
8 homes by September 1st.

Turbett (Nona) who has spent a GREAT deal of time planting in the Park Street
Park. Bill has been naturalizing
perennials in various areas in our park.
Another "GREEN thumbs up" to Ron &
Becky Mallord (Beech) and Kurt Klimkiewicz (Nona) who have spent their time
tending the planting beds along the Military Street medians; and to Mike
McGinty who has spent time cleaning up the Park Street Park. Thanks to ALL of you who have been
working SOOOO hard to beautify our neighborhood! Save a Tree! Response so far has been VERY limited to our
request for e-mail addresses so that we can deliver the FHNN
electronically. We'd like to get a
